Three Japanese Plays for Children by Rosina Philippi, 1897
#106 of 125 copies
Ransom #43

I purchased this book over the phone. The bookseller told me this copy had been rebound in gray wraps, but I felt the price was still fair.

When I received the book, I was quite surprised to find that the gray wrap was really just a folded book cover. Notice the bookplate of E.G. Sykes.

When the cover was removed, it became apparent that it was the original package wrapping from when E.G. Sykes purchased the book.

A close-up of the mailing label.

Under the "gray wraps," was the original glassine jacket.

The title page.

The first play.
