This is a drama about Count Cenci, the head of a noble family durung the Renaissance who chases his daughter, Beatrice, in an incestuous fashion. Beatrice plots with her brother and step-mother to hire assassins to do away with the Count. They get caught and under torture of the Inquisition, admit their guilt.
